The kidneys are double organs located in the abdominal cavity on both sides of the spine. They are responsible for filtering blood and functioning by removing them in the urine, which are then transported to the bladder through tubes known as ureters.
The bladder is a hollow organ that rests on the pelvic floor. Urine secreted by the kidneys is deposited in the bladder through the ureters. The bladder then empties the urine through the urethra. Bladder conditions can be a source of pain and discomfort, as well as urinary incontinence or inability to control the flow of urine. Such conditions include bladder infections, interstitial cystitis, stress incontinence, push incontinence, and stones and bladder tumors.
